A social problem in any of the ASEAN countries

RUBBISH

Each country was never free from various social problems. One of them is a matter that concerns the daily lives of its inhabitants. Every day, almost everyone must meet their needs. But from each activity to meet those needs, always leave a residual item. The remaining items of waste, whether it's household waste or industrial waste. But trash strewn everywhere often due to too many in number and limited landfills. The issue of waste is in a country Indonesia. This is exacerbated by the large number of people in Indonesia to reach 250 million inhabitants. You can imagine if every day one of Indonesia's population left the trash as much as two pieces, then in the daily waste in Indonesia could reach 500 million pieces of garbage. This amount is an amount that was fantastic. Moreover, if the waste is stacked for days, months, even years. Then the number would be even doubled. Whereas in fact, the waste consists mostly of inorganic waste that requires time for many years to decompose.

Unfortunately, so far the efforts made to recycle the waste is still fairly minimal. Until the trash eventually lead to a variety of new problems and disasters for the people of Indonesia. Examples of problems and disasters that occur due to, among other rubbish in the city of Jakarta floods that occur almost every year, polluted river water, and the outbreak of the community by various diseases such as dengue, respiratory infections, and skin diseases. Besides that, if the rubbish that has accumulated is removed through the combustion carried out continuously, then the smoke from burning would result in air pollution.

The smoke is air pollution contains carbon dioxide gas and other harmful gases. When smoke is inhaled by humans, especially people of Indonesia, then the carbon dioxide gas will bind hemoglobin in the body and inhibit the binding of oxygen to the hemoglobin. As a result, reduced intake of oxygen to the body resulting in death. In addition, the more carbon dioxide produced from burning waste, the higher the concentration of carbon dioxide in the earth. The high concentration of carbon dioxide in Earth's greenhouse effect resulting in even culminate in a very big problem of global warming.

Provide a sustainable entrepreneurial solution to the above problem:

The waste consists of organic and inorganic waste. Organic waste can decompose in the soil in a relatively fast. However, inorganic waste takes a long time for years to decompose. Therefore, there is a difference in handling organic waste and inorganic waste. However, in principle way of handling organic waste and inorganic waste is the same that is used the technique of recycling the 3R (reduce, reuse, and recycle).

1. Reduction of organic waste

The first thing to do on the organic waste such as leaves, twigs, and the rest of the other plants is to make it as raw material for compost. Compost used to fertilize crops so that plants thrive. But other than beneficial to the fertility of plants, compost is an environmentally friendly fertilizer. Leaves and twigs are made into compost will not pollute the soil and the environment. Minerals and nutrients in the soil will not be reduced. In addition to the raw material used as compost, organic waste can be converted into a variety of interesting crafts. Branches can be formed into decorative room high artistic merit and has economic value. In addition to these items, there is also garlic skin that can be exploited further. Although often considered useless, the skin turns white onions can be formed into a very beautiful flower. Artificial flowers from garlic skin can be used to decorate the room is very beautiful.

2. Reduction of inorganic waste

Organic waste has properties that can hardly be deciphered. Age of organic items are relatively longer. So that the waste that piled up in landfills usually are inorganic waste. But, if we can change the waste into more useful items, then the nature of the rule will be a surplus of goods in the recycling of inorganic waste. Of the various kinds of inorganic waste, most commonly found litter is plastic and paper. But, with perseverance and creativity high, plastic, and paper can be transformed into items of high economic value.
One is a plastic-packaging plastic. Usually a plastic-packaging plastic is thrown away. But if we want to recycle the old plastic container will be more useful items. Plastic packaging can be formed into various models of bags. Bags made from old plastic packaging have unique value because of motifs derived from these plastics.
Other inorganic waste that can be exploited even further is the paper. The papers can be converted into a variety of goods, namely gift boxes, baskets, containers pencils, and assorted ornaments and knick-knacks funny. In addition, the former beverage packaging bottles can be recycled again. The trick is to shape it into pots of flowers and decorations a unique space. As the goods of other recycling, then this flower pots also have high economic value. Thus, efforts to recycle waste can be used as one solution of waste problems in Indonesia are very complicated handling. Although only a small step, but if anybody can make recycling efforts, it will no longer hear about the waste problem that is not useful. In addition, if the program is realized correctly, then the effort to recycle this waste can be used as a farm self-employment for the community and economic life of society can change..
